My name is Ariana Williams and I am of Ngati Kahu and Ngati Whatua descent. I have been in Education for over 20 years. I am happy to be home after spending most of my life in Auckland and I also lived in Wellington for a couple of years.
I feel extremely honoured to be the principal of such an incredible School with wonderful students, parents and staff. I love teaching and leading. I am passionate about all students achieving success in our educational system so that they can have plenty of choice in terms of their future pathways and goals.

Rebekah's Profile
Tēnā koutou e te whānau,
I graduated from the University of Auckland in 2008 with a Bachelor of Education and spent over 15 years in Early Childhood Education before beginning my primary teaching career at Peria in 2023.
My whānau have called Peria home since 1995 and I am deeply committed to this community and all it offers. I love the Far North and cannot imagine living anywhere else. Since enrolling our eldest in the new entrant class in 2016, I have been actively involved in our school community. Joining the teaching team here has been especially meaningful, as it allows me to give back to the place that has supported my own family.
In my personal time, you’ll find me with my friends and whanau, whether that be at home, in the garden, fishing, camping, at the beach, or exploring our beautiful region.

Kate's Profile
My name is Kate Parkinson and I was born in Honeymoon Valley and feel incredibly fortunate to now be teaching back in the Far North. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching in 2011, and since then have taught in schools throughout New Zealand, as well as in London and Blackpool.
As a mother of three girls, I understand just how precious our tamariki are, and I feel privileged that each day I am entrusted with someone else’s taonga; I endeavour to do my very best for them and make each day count.
Outside of school, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places with my whānau and friends. I also love creating real food through gardening, growing our own meat and vegetables, and creating a healthy lifestyle for our children.
Peria School is a school with heart, where relationships and belonging are at the centre of everything we do and I am proud to be a part of it!
Kohu's Profile
Kia Ora Whānau,
He uri tenei no Ngapuhi.
I grew up in the Far North and love everything about the lifestyle it offers. In my spare time I like to go camping, fishing and if I have time – read my books and paint. As a Kaiako I enjoy bringing Te Reo Maori, Kapa Haka, music and sports into the learning space. Teaching at Peria School so far has been like a dream come true. I instantly connected with the kaupapa here thanks to the manaakitanga from all of our staff, whanau and wider community who have been nothing but supportive and welcoming. Our kura has its own unique vibe led by our amazing tamariki who bring positive energy into the akomanga everyday. Peria School is a lovely place to be and I feel so lucky to be a part of it!

Frances's Profile
Kia ora, my name is Frances.
I’m a proud mother of three tamariki, all of whom will attend Peria School because there’s truly no place I’d rather see them grow, learn, and thrive. Although I whakapapa to Ruatōrea and am of Ngāti Porou descent, Peria is the place I proudly call home. Born and raised here, I did leave briefly to experience life in the “big smoke,” but my heart was always drawn back. I returned knowing that there’s no better place to raise my children, and no better kura to be a part of than Peria School.
My passion lies in this place and its people. I am deeply committed to supporting our tamariki, our whānau, and our wider community to flourish together.
